I just found out today that Continental has a Micronesia Air Pass. It seems like a pretty good deal too. I've been flying between California and Guam about twice a year for the past 6 years or so and I usually get my ticket through a consolidator agency that has a contract with Continental. I didn't know that Continental had an airpass for Micronesia!
For travel between LAX, Honolulu, Majuro, Pohnpei, Chuuck, Kosrae and Guam, it costs $1,250 which allows for 4 stops, each additional stop is only $50. (You go through Hawaii on the way to Guam, then on the way back you do the island hopper route)
For travel between all of the above, plus the southbound Palau and Yap route, it costs $1,550. The min. time is 10 days, and the max is 6 months!
I'm definitely going to take advantage of this come this June. I want to do Palau, Chuuk, Yap, and either Pohnpei or Kosrae. Considering my past airfares with the consolidators were:
$1,098 LAX to Guam to Yap and
$1,198 LAX to Guam to Cairns
$850 LAX to Guam via Korea
this seems like a pretty good deal considering I have 4 free stop overs! Has anyone else used Continental's Micronesia airpass before?
