The weather forecasts for Hawaii all seem to be a strange melange, so we're not sure what to trust, but it looks like Kona has perhaps been fairly showery lately?? Can anyone confirm or deny? (And what about other parts of the Big Island? Has it been rainy in some areas and sunny in others?)

We encountered rainy weather on a March visit once, but have had gorgeous weather in July and August in the past, so we have our fingers crossed...

3 more days -- we can't wait!! :D

Ignore most online weather services for Kona information. We're pretty much having our typical summer weather.... Kailua and south Kona can expect clear mornings with clouds building on the hills through the day, maybe some rain some late afternoon/evenings. The resorts up north are far enough from the mountains they are unlikey to see clouds or rain. this is pretty much the same weather pattern we see every year once the water starts warming up.

We have has some wierd stuff over the water, cloud and wind-wize the last few days, but nothing that out of the ordinary.

Thanks, Steve -- we'll see you on Tuesday!
(No rain! No rain!)
