Ive tried this several times and never get to speak to a person or get a call back. I installed dive log 5.0 on my laptop and it connects and downloads all my dives from my dive computer so I dont think it is a bad connection issue.
 
Any Luck with this? I have the same problem. My Atmos AI has been downloading dives just fine for years. Now I get the same "Time Out" message after handshaking. I tried:

uninstall & re-install Aeris Software
Uninstall & re-install the drivers
Tried a different (brand new) Aeris Atmos computer - Same problem
Dives download OK when using the downloader from Diving Log 5.0 - Problem with this is that it doesn't download start & end pressures.

Did you get a call back from Aeris? Did you get a fix?
