I think it is so cute when the fish do that. :) Now I could not help but notice that the footage was very blue/green - is there a way to compensate for that like add a filter on or something? (I have yet to get my housing for my camcorder - expect to next month - so finding out as much as I can from people.)

yeah i think there is. This is actually a digital camera in movie mode. My photos are white balance adjusted in photoshop so it is only an issue for videos which are just for fun anyway.

yeah i thought so too. What kind of fish is it and why does it like me so much? i was swimming along and all of sudden it jumped at me and kept on.

I liked the footage. It looked like you were in its territory Matva.

The S70 has an Underwater WB mode, that adds the red into the shot before photoshop. If you're going to use the camera for video... you either need a red filter over the lens (like the Ikelite UR filter) , or the UW mode on the camera.

Even if you don't have major editing software for video, if you have a Windows XP computer, you have windows movie maker. It's very basic, but you could reduce the sound levels, etc.

BTW - those yellowtail damselfish are very aggressive for their size... could you imagine what the oceans would be like if they were 2 feet long?!?! :11:

yeah, i found that afterwards:p I will use the camera for the occassional fun video but i am not much into the whole video editing creative background music thing. yeah, WMM would probably suffice for anything i'd want to do.

so that is what they're!
