Thanks a ton for the invite. I already have plans to wet a line with a friend, but would love to hook up with you guys soon. I teach and coach at a local high school and my season gets going pretty soon, but once things get settled Sundays are always open.

Since I have moved down here I have met a ton of good people, but no one who really dives. Consequently I have just been going out on LDS trips such as Underwater Explorers, Underwater Specialists, etc... It is rough on the wallet not having a buddy and trying to dive a few times a month.

Oh- I am glad about waht you said about Big Carlos pass. I didnt want to look like a wuss, but no way I would get in there either. I spend alot of time on that water and have seen some crazy things go under my boat. Sometimes I think that Byron Stout has no idea what he is talking about.

What school and sport? Bri and I are both Cypress grads :)

We don't do LDS trips often either.. it costs so much to do and its all on their time.

You'd have to be REALLY desperate to want to dive there, especially with all the mangrove islands to snorkel around. The wildlife around the islands is much more visible than through that 5-10kt flow in the channel of the bridge. Two or three miles off shore in 20' of water is May's reef, thats kind of fun to dive. G-H was fun to, I was able to shoot a whole slew of sheepies out there. We also found a brand new anchor with chain and line and a brand new set of Oakley Renegade polarized sunglasses out there in one dive! :)

We dove Arc Towers yesterday.. more specifically, we dove the sailboat sunk out there. Lots of snapper, some grouper, jew fish.. it was a very interesting dive. :)

Small world. I teach at Cypress where I am also the head wrestling coach. It is only my secondf year there, but we are getting better and should be fairly strong by the end of the year. Wrestling downe here is much different than up north, but I enjoy my team. Good kids who work had...what more could I want? They just need some time to learn how to fight....

I fish May Reef and DHJ Reef almost every weekend. Yesterday At May I caught sixteen Gags and a small Hammerhead. Seven of the grouper were legal, but I only kept four for my neighbors and myself. If I had more pinfish I could have kept catching fish all afternoon.

Seriously, I woul like to get together with you guys. Let me know what your plans are and I will doo all I can to find a way to make it work.

Matt
