Merry Passage and I returned to the barge off Redondo Beach this morning. I went inside to photograph the school of black croakers Merry found yesterday. Today she found two octopus nests. I guess we'll have to dive there again soon. About a decade ago, we took some garden stones down and built a tiny home for the critters on the barge. A lingcod was on top of the house on many occasions. Eventually, the stones made their way down to the sand (stupid sea lions) and no longer provided hiding places. I returned five stones to the barge and had a sheephead sitting in it by the time I had placed three walls. I finished the construction project and left it for the locals.

Very nice pics.

Since this is California, I have to ask - did you get permits for the home construction project?
Shhh. It's not even up to code. :jail:
