My compressor configuration have automated condensate drain and switch off. It is equiped with single phase motor, quite prone to interupt my 16 amp B curcuit braker. changing to 16 amp C characteristic.
I am testing now how long will filter unit stay pressurized, and It is already 2 days and housing still under pressure. So it seems to be as expected.

I just received answer from Bauer specialist about procedure after switching off compressor and to question whether filling hose can be fully depressurized:

“If the filling hose is to be removed from the tank, the filling adaptor/valve must be depressurized, otherwise it cannot be removed. This means that the connector is depressurized, but not the filling hose and the P21 TRIPLEX filter column. In other words, the unit is pressurized and this pressure should not be released from the P21 until the next re-start. An exception to this is the 2nd stage intermediate separator, which is depressurized after the unit is stopped. When the unit is restarted, any remaining pressure (depending on how long the unit has not been in operation) should be released in order to avoid peak current consumption.”

So the answer is that filling hose shall be kept all the time pressurized when compressor off, this is actually in line with manual.

I just won a public auction for a 2014 Bauer Oceanus and 3 bottle bank from a fire department that is closing. I have ordered a new filter element and a annual rebuild / parts kit. Having been at a fire department I am assuming it was well maintained.

Other than the above, any recommendations on what I should do before I put it to work?
