BC's are not bad,BUT the standard inflator SUCKS
http://www.aquatecusa.com/products/images/bc-65_detail_1.jpg
We had these inflators in our school and ALL inflators got stuck.Nothing to do with maintenance they where stuck on the first use(all of them)
Autoinflators are no fun for new divers,or any other diver.:shakehead:

300bar,

A stuck inflator & new diver sounds like an interesting mix to say the least.

I've been using my Aquatec Innovator for over 5 years and haven't had any problems with it. The inflator on my BCD looks identical to that in the picture you included.

I still have a few hanging around somewhere, did 3 or 4 pooldives only.
To bad we live this far apart,I could have sold them to you :D
But no kiddin, the bc's where just fine once we replaced the powerinflators.

The step to Oceanic was small step for us, but a giant leap for(dive)mankind .

300bar,

But I can only wear one BCD at a time :)

And hopefully the one I have will last me for a good long while.

Yeah sure but you need one for the pool, one for daily diving and atleast one for travel.
And not to forget one for backup :D

300 bar,

You might be right :)

I guess "gotan" didn't need advice from the board members after all since he never returned.
