The BEST....

-- It's a GIRL!! Sept 16, 2002

The WORST...

BEST

- Celebrating our 20th Anniversary with 2 weeks in French Polynesia.

- Meeting some scuba-board friends in person during WreckMania, and learning great skills from fabulous people.

WORST

- Having to decide to put scuba on hold for a while, for medical reasons. (Still having vicarious fun, thanks to scuba-board!)

Happy 2003!
Scuba-sass :)

My 2002 BEST (in no particular order):
1.Enjoying my second sabbatical (8 wks paid time off)
1a)Diving US Virgin Islands
1b)Diving RMS Rhone
1c)Diving Florida Keys
1d)Watching my son enjoy his 7th year of Dolphin Human Therapy
1e)Diving Jamaica
2.Earning State Champion title in BMX racing
3.Spending time with family and friends
4. Finding Scuba Board!

My 2002 "CHALLENGES":
1.Suffering a separated shoulder 4 weeks before lots of planned scuba trips (but, overcame the injury based on #1 above!)
2.Father-in-law passing away
3.2 full-fledged teenage boys in the house
4.Continued downturn in electronics industry and terrible stock market results

My 2003 HOPES:
1. As more time passes after 9/11/01, that we Americans don't forget what it means to feel patriotic and together.
2. Higher conciousness that protects our beautiful oceans and reefs for many, many generations to enjoy as we do.
3. A big, fat raise and a bull market so I can dive at least as much as I did last year!

Best:
lots and lots of diving
more diving
live aboard in the Bahamas (I really really liked that)

worst:
3 weeks working at wal-mart, don't ever go there, it is a terrible terrible place

all in all, I give last year a 9 out of 10

the worst thing to happen to me
in 2002 was trying to go up a
tiny boat ladder into a boat named
the Tyee...It was like a ManateeSpiderMan
going up a wall. A disaster. Lost a
new Mares fin. Damn near had a
heart attack. Had to slither over
the transom like a reptile. Even
the thought makes me squirm.

But I did have to buy a pair
of Atomic SplitFins!:( :( :D :D

Lawman once bubbled...
...It was like a ManateeSpiderMan
going up a wall.

LOL...That's a wonderful mental picture! :mean:
