I knew HK travel insurance cover theft and damage but flooded is cover as well...friend of mine claimed before.

Yeah I've been asking around as well. Looks like I would either have to get some form of comprehensive travel insurance to cover "damage" and theft, but not sure that will cover a flooded camera. Alternative is to use a home owners/ renters insurance to cover the equipment...

Just severely bruised my budget with my first DSLR buy, including Nexus housing, Nikon D100, Inon Z-240, lenses, ports, etc. Now, in mortal terror of a flood, I'm looking for opinions on camera flood/damage insurance.

I have a Personal Articles Policy with State Farm that I pay $30 per year that covers my UW camera equipment. There is a thread somewhere on SB that steered me to that policy.
