Did you mean 'thin' metal?

I don't think I've ever seen a scuba tank cross section to know if they are thin or thick metal.

I'm squeemish around tank fills myself, not that I've ever done one, but every time I walk into a tank filling room with tanks on the compressor octopuss I get the heck out of there quickly.
