Hi all! Did not want to hijack the previous Brisbane thread so I thought I'd post my own.
I will be in Brisbane on business 5-16 to 6-6 and would like some info. (and yes, I did a search but would like some current answers ) The weather seems to be pretty warm this time of year but how about water temp? Good dive operators? Other cool things to do? This is my first time in OZ and am very excited about it! :dazzler1:

Thanks!

Brisbane is the gateway to dive Morton Bay, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island and more ... the water in May won't be too cold - stil over 20 degrees (Celcius that is).

For a comprehensive list of dive operators and their contact details go to
http://www.underwater.com.au/dive_shops.php/location/brisbane_city

To get an idea of what you will see underwater check out the Brisbane and surrounds photo gallery
http://www.underwater.com.au/gallery.php/location/brisbane_and_surrounds

Hope that helps a little and have FUN !

Tim

PS: only 2 hours South is Byron Bay, a top spot to dive with Julian Rocks Marine Park one of Australia's top 10 dive site.

Brisbane has some great diving, from coral reefs that will match anything you'll see up north, to wrecks in 10m to 40m of water (theres over 30 wrecks in the bay). I was out a week ago, and the temperature was 24degrees cel. Pro dive (http://www.prodivebrisbane.com.au/frame_home.html) seems to be one of the best operators here, and take a few trips out a week. Theres also some good diving an hour or so to the north at the sunshine coast, and byron to the south is also beautiful. Have a look at www.diveoz.com.au , you'll find everything you want to know there.
