Buddy checking with an Elite T3

I'd like to be able to check my buddies PSI on my Elite T3 but I can't seem to navigate to the TMT 2-3 Use to program for a buddy check. The manual doesn't make it clear how to get to this screen. Can I do this on the surface or does one have to be underwater to access this feature? I have my buddy's TMT code programed in as TMT2 already.

Only units with serial numbers lower than 5000 have the feature. If you've got an original version, give our tech support guys or myself a call and we'll walk you through it.

Thanks Doug. Both my computers are brand new with serial numbers greater than 5000. (5036 and 5262) I'm sorry but are you saying that the higher SN units older and don't support the buddy check?? Thanks

Correct - units shipped November 1, 2011 forward do not include the feature. There's additional explanation in the Oceanic forum.
