It was located by Provincial archaeological divers some years ago ( I believe they filmed it ); it was reportedly just a pile of lumber on the bottom - completely collapsed.
Hi! We, the Trident Underwater Club (SOS Peterborough), originally found the Stone Lodge Wreck by ice dive, and carried out an archeological survey of her under license. The report and drawing of her can be found by Googling "Stone Lodge Wreck", and I still have the original film feature done by CHEX TV. She's 97' long × 30' wide, with a flat hull, lying in about 18'. She had a couple of lives, originally a Palace Scow and last used as a barge before she was sunk, so no superstructure, and her short sides now lie across the hull. She lies about 60' off of the southern concrete dock at the park at Pleasant Point on Sturgeon, and we found her rudder offshore of the government boatlaunch. Zebra muscles have made the site considerably more clear than when we found her, and she's still a fun easy shore dive from the park. Hint: if you can't find her you're out too far.
