Buying a single with doubles in mind

There is also the issue, not so prevalent now, but when I stated diving doubles you wanted to buy a set. Unless they were Al 80s, because buying them a year apart doesn't guarantee that the tanks will match. I saw sets of doubles where one was longer than the other and it was obvious. May not be true today with new cylinders but a faber Lp85 (25.98 inches long) is not going to match up with a Worthington Lp85 (24.7 inches long) if you are buying used. And Worthington, Faber, and PST HP100s are different lengths
I'd buy the LP95s from Tracy and dive them as singles until you decide to go doubles. If you can handle them. Personally I'm only 5'7" and 170 lbs. And being 63 going on 64 yrs old I wouldn't want to mess with them unless all I had to do was stand up and fall off the boat or drop into a spring. Walking with them any distance, NoFingWay, been there, done that.
