This is a call for entries for the 9th Annual San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition, scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, August 22nd & 23rd, 2008, at the beautiful Qualcomm Hall located at 5775 Morehouse Drive in San Diego, California
Here is your chance to see your work in a state-of-the-art venue on a giant screen. There is no entry fee!
Each evening will feature a different program consisting of 14 to 16 short underwater films from locations all over the world.
Entry Guidelines:
The San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition reserves the right to use the films for the promotion of this event. All rights will remain with the producers of the films.

There is no entry fee and there are no free trips or other prizes. Your work is judged by three professionals in the media field and seen by many peers in the underwater film community. Your art and your place in the field of underwater photography deserve this quality presentation.
UFEX is an opportunity to have your work projected by a state of the art High Definition system with surround sound and a 30 foot wide screen. Qualcomm Hall has seating on 3 levels all with perfect sight lines. Like the projection, this is a state of the art for comfort and accessibility. Another plus is the free parking at the on site parking garage.

Entry Guidelines:
- Submission deadline is July 1st, 2008.
- We are accepting Standard Definition NTSC or High Definition 1080i60 HDV films only on mini-DV tapes. We cannot accept PAL or 1080i50 submissions. Please convert your video(s) to either of the above formats prior to submission.
- No film can be longer than five minutes and at least 50% of the footage must be underwater.
- Filmmakers are limited to 2 submissions per filmmaker.
- Please leave at least a 15-second black leader at the beginning of your video(s). More than one video may be entered on a tape, but please include a 15-second black leader before each video.
- Please ensure that you have all legal rights to all media used in your film(s). This includes music, visual footage, personal, copyright, and all other relevant legal rights.
- To have your tapes returned after the Film Exhibition, please include an appropriately sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope with adequate postage.
- Please include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, film?s name and length, and a brief bio with your submission(s).
