Not meaning to impugn your intelligence, but did you make sure the watch itself was in the tramsmit mode?

Make sure the Serial Cable you are using is a "Null Modem" Cable. If you use a standard 25 pin to 9 pin cable it will give you an error message. And don't use a 25 pin to 9 pin adapter on the end of a 25 pin to 25 pin cable.

Also use the latest version of the software that you download from the Ciizen website.

Thanks for all this. Eventally got a serial-USB conversion cable (so connects to the 'puter through a USB port) and it downloads fine now.
