Okay..he isn't scuba diving, though there is an under ice swim...but it isn't hard to imagine the same skill being used in scuba diving.

If one masters this skill too, one can get rid of their wetsuit/drysuit and mask (From earlier post)! Someday, I may post some thoughts on getting rid of tanks and regulators too! Aquaman decoded -- here WHEEE come!

No thanks. I'll stick to appropriate exposure gear. And a mask. Call me old fashioned, or just old, or just cold, but really, people, who does not prefer being comfortable, even warm, to being cold? A show of hands?

Very interesting stuff. I have done the "quick swim while next to the ice shelf still on the lake". But anyone can do that. This guy is something else.
 
People train themselves to handle all kinds of extremes. Mostly to prove it can be done. That's nice. Interesting he did it. But I see no reason to go through the training to do something that is much more comfortable to do another way. I love my dry suit :p
