Hi
I bought a Canon S95 for underwater photos / videos and the Ikelite housing for that model camera. I put the camera in the housing (correctly and according to Ikelite instructions) and made sure the cog was lined up with the dial on the front, I clicked the lock shut.
I turned on the camera and saw that the screen lit up down the rhs and specifically the bottom rhs corner of the screen (closest to the DISP button). As I still had the lense cover on the screen was black and the light was very evident. It appears that the foam around the lcd screen is pressing down on the rhs of the screen and making the screen light up where the pressure is the greatest.
Surely this cannot be good for the camera? Is Ikelite aware of this issue and how can it be fixed so that the foam does not press on the screen. I am concerned the screen will be damaged or crack (this has already happened to someone with an S90 housing - on the Canon forum). Surely this can't be good for the camera at all?
This is a brand new camera and I cannot afford to buy another camera or have it fixed!
Hoping to hear from Ikelite soon - I have waited a long time for the housing to arrive and need to use the camera for my business.
:shocked2:
