The googled images of Sipunculids match the OP's picture, but one image on the wikipedia page caught my attention: a plate full of these worms in sauce as a tasty appetizer. Yummmmm! (for the record, I'll eat most anything that won't eat me first, but these do NOT look appealing.)

Peanut Worm. Sipuncula is the proper name, and there are a few hundred species.

When I dove the C-53 wreck in early December there was a huge field filled with these on the port-side aft of the ship. Must have been dozens.

Huh. Yup! I didn't remember seeing any eyes, but according to a Google image search you are absolutely correct. I still have a lot to learn!
