Departure Tax for Indonesia Airports

Hi,

I was wondering if you could help me. I'll be diving in Raja Ampat in March and was wondering what the Departure Tax for the Airports.

Outgoing flight is London->Kuala Lumapar->Bali->Makassar->Sorong
Inbound Flight Ambon->Jakatta->London

Do I need to pay departure tax for each airport and if so how much?

you should pay 40,000 rupiah when leaving bali. if you just transfer in makassar then you won't have to pay another departure fee. if you have to overnight in makassar or change airlines then you will have to pay another 40,000. Leaving Ambon should be 30,000 to jkt, then when you fly out of jakarta for international it should be 150,000.. check xe.com to see the exchange rate to the pound, around 13,000 i think

I think the rates are different for international or domestic destinations

Domestic Tax is usually 40,000Rp
International Departure Tax @ Bali and Jakarta 150,000Rp
International Departure Tax @ Manado 100,000Rp

Not sure why it differs between Manado and Bali/Jakarta!!
