I had a similiar experience about 2 yrs ago: after about a week of heavy diving I was ascending and felt some slight pain: when on the boat I realized that my hearing in one ear was rather severly impaired. I am in the music business and this was bad news, indeed. I went to my ENT, he disagnosed barotrauma. When I asked how long it coud last he said anywhere from a week to a year. After about three weeks my hearing gradually returned: I have since been diving many times without a problem.
It could be that I misunderstood your post, and if so I apologize. But a week seems to me to be a bit premature to be in such despair, even though I know how disconcerting it must be for you.
I agree that you must see a specialist as soon as possible: I wish you all the best and hope that you might be told that with time things truly will improve.
