Hi, looking at hitting the gulf coast this weekend (11-12 and 11-13) and was planning on taking a boat dive along with a couple of shore dives. I am aware of the Jetties in Destin and St Andrews Park in Panama, but are there any other sites on the coast there worth mentioning?

Is everything still closed at Fort Pickins in Pensacola?

Thanks,

Frank

Fort Pickens isn't accessible by land right now.

I hear the old pier rubble is becoming uncovered on the East side of the new pier on Pensacola Beach.

The Navarre Beach Pier is now divable, since its condemned on the surface - I hear its not a bad dive, but I haven't done it myself.

SeaYoda posted some pics of the Destin Jetties yesterday and they were almost completely covered in sand on the surface, not sure how this new sand affected whats underneath the surface. You might have to dive the southernmost finger jetty in Destin.

Darcy dove St. Andrews Jetties last week(?) and said vis was great.

High Tides are hitting at night, thats when you'll wanna dive for best vis and least amount of current.
