Looking for a new regulator set to replace my Flathead VI, the DGX D6 looks like a decent set at a really affordable price range, if you are using one right now, what's your honest opinion of them? If you own other brands, more than welcome to hear your views about them as well!

I just need a decent level of performance, mainly for salt water diving in Asia...

I think the Deep6 Signature is a meaningful improvement in quality and performance and has a lower cost of ownership. Those regs are fine but not my preferred style

I see you’re in Singapore. You’ll have to think about service. Would you be able to find anyone to service them, even with supplied service kits? DIY or sending to Deep6 or someone else in the US for service are your other options.

I do not believe that Deep6 services these regulators in house, only the Deep6 branded regulators.

Get a brand name that is available in our country and can be serviced there. Quality and service have price.

yes I was abit concern about servicing as well, just thinking that since DGX retail the service kits separately, I would assume most servicing centre will take it on? but I can be totally wrong on that as well...

Your best bet is to ask your local dive shop if they will service them. Probably easiest to just go with a brand they sell and will service.

And don’t forget import duties. Best check what you would get charged if you did order the set from DGX.

yes of cos, will need to factor in shipping cost and potentially tax as well...

Singapore is a member of the WTO so they will use the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. First six digits of HS codes are the same for all WTO members. 9020.00 - underwater breathing devices designed as a complete unit to be carried on the person and not requiring attendants. 9020.00 is the proper HS code. Check online with the Singapore customs service or call local customs office for duty.

(I’m a licensed customs broker in the US).
