If you have never been diving in Indonesia before, this is the great Smörgåsbord (Rijsttafel?) of Indonesian Diving. In this center of biodiversity you will get a sample of nearly everything during your time underwater! Plus, many of the dishes listed on the Rijsttafel menu are prepared for your meals on the ship!
Outstanding topside scenery
There are rock island lagoons where you need a guide or would be lost!; white sand beaches with the most powdery white sand you'll ever see and no people!; jungly rainforests full of exotic birds and marsupials (sorry no monkeys!); and picturesque tiny islands surrounded by turquoise lagoons.
Waters are unbelievably warm (28-30C / 82-86F) and calm, often with seas mirroring the blue sky and fluffy clouds, making your diving and cruising days very comfortable.
:snorkel2: Underwater in Raja Ampat
Reefs, muck dives, walls, pinnacles, piers & jetties, narrow shallow channels, walls. You can expect to see everything from gorgeous reefs spilling over with colorful corals and small reef fishes to black sand slopes and their odd denizens such as the Mimic Octopus, Pygmy Cuttlefish, Ornate Ghost Pipefishes, Solar Powered Nudibranchs and snake eels.
Some dives are fish soup with mind boggling scenes containing manta rays, many species of schooling and solitary fishes as well as giant clams and Tasselled Wobbegong Sharks (carpet sharks).
Other dives are full of tiny creatures such as pygmy seahorses (multiple varieties), Blue Ring Octopus, nudibranchs, pipefishes, lionfishes, shrimps, juvenile fish, shells (such as the allied cowrie that lives on soft corals), tiny gobies and blennies.

This trip is limited to 12 guest divers (instead of the ship's normal 16-17). An experienced cruise director and additional hand-picked, experienced dive guides supplement the ship's normal crew of 13 making a ratio of 1 dive guide per 3 or 4 divers.
I organize and escort this trip. I've been taking groups to Raja Ampat since 1999 including more than 30 small group tours and over 2000 dives logged (in photos or video) in Raja Ampat.
Ship accommodation is in triple cabins, each for 2 guests, with en suite bath, individually controlled AC. Guaranteed single cabins are available at a reasonable extra cost (please ask).
We can accommodate couples, dive buddies and individuals. This trip is perfect for solo travelers (guarantee same gender diver in your cabin).
The ship is a traditionally outfitted Pinisi motor sailor designed and purpose built for diving. Highlights include an indoor dive deck & briefing room with charging stations & gear storage. Indoor wetsuit storage with hot freshwater showers and rinse tank; large camera table with 2 built in rinse tanks and storage for each diver; 3 public areas (sundeck, bow with large tables and hammocks, indoor dining/lounge with AC, HDTV, library).
About 1/2 of our guests travel alone and meet up enroute to Sorong. We will help you organize your flights to Indonesia and handle all domestic Indonesia (within Indonesia) travel for you.
