Oceanic Data Plus 2
O-ring = 2-023
1 each Lithium Battery 1/2 AA 3.6 volts............

Correction to this entry. The Oceanic Data Plus 2 uses a -024 o-ring.

@Zung if you are still keeping the file please correct my inaccuracy and disavow any knowledge of my actions.

From @LKJ in this thread:
Oceanic Geo O-ring size/durometer?
According to scubagaskets.com, the o-ring size for the Geo 2.0 is 27mm inside diameter with a 1.3 mm cross section and 70 hardness nitrile. This should also be the same size for similar computers such as the Oceanic F10, Atom , Bud, Aeris Manta, Epic, Tusa Talis and other similar computers manufactured by Pelagic. I found them fairly cheap on eBay, from a seller in the Czech Republic.

Any idea what is the o-ring size for the Cressi Newton?
BTW most shops online advertise the battery set as "Cressi Newton/Drake" hence I guess it should be the same o-ring for the Drake too.
The battery is CR2430, but the o-ring?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Dude if it's in your hand open it measure it buy a couple put it in
Thanks for the tip.
Why pay 10$+shipping for something that I might be able to find for ~2$ (including the battery) localy?
I have limited local supply of such things, but who knows - I might be lucky. Anyway shipping times from e-shops vary between a couple of week (from European shops) up to a couple of months (from China). I was hopping to get an answer here so that I can order it and have it ready when I'll open the computer.
I could clean/inspect the old o-ring and re-use it (as I did last time - silly me I didn't measure it back then :banghead: ). It is a static o-ring after all, but since that will be the second time I do this I'd prefer to replace it with a new one if possible.

These are the tribulations of life mate

I have many computers here with orings bent to different shapes where I have never changed them
so either buy the internet one, or open it and you can buy enough to keep the entire village happy

either one, which until you do will keep twisting your head around

Hey @stepfen , if you find out, let me know and I'll stick three in an envelope with a greeting card. I'll get a scuba card, so customs won't even know!
I'll see what I can find out! Looking at that eBay ad picture, I bet I can guess from the compared size of the battery next to it. Why don't I send you a few based on that picture? You know, a couple smaller, a couple larger, and a couple that I think match. PM me...

I believe the Cressi Newton, Drake, Goa, Giotto, and Leonardo all use the same size o-ring which should be a size 026 70shore.

Edited to strike previous statement and to state that size 026 would be too large for this application based on the o-ring land measurements provided in the following post.

Thanks guys. Actually today I replaced the battery. I tried to measure the o-ring but it is kind of difficult so I can't know for sure. It should be M1.5*27 (1.5mm cross section, 27mm internal diameter) or M1.5*27.5 (1.5mm CS, 27.5mm ID) or M1.6*27.1 (1.6mm CS, 27.1mm ID - this is kind of odd size for metric o-ring but according to the charts it exists and it is the only 1.6mm CS with ID anywhere near these numbers).

The picture shows the diameter of the groove where the o-ring sits. T
he diameter of the hole where the whole assembly (including the ring) is inserted is 30mm

@rsingler I've been a very bad student. After I took these pictures, I realized what damage these calipers could have done to the o-ring grooves :banghead: I hope it is not too late.
I need to write it down100 times: Never touch sharp metal tools to metal or plastic o-ring grooves

Locally I fount M1.5*28 very cheaply and gave them a try but they won't fit.

Actually the previous o-ring looked in great shape so I just cleaned it, lubed it and re-use it. I am still interested to find out the real size for next time.

Thanks for your offer Robert to post me the rings. I think I can get them quite easily. Finding the real size will be more than enough help. Thanks anyway

(Apologies for not translating all the above to Imperial but it is too late for me - got to go to bed).
