I need to buy dive insurance for a trip to Malta in September... any recommendations for British nationals?

Jemima,

you beat me to it! That was going to be my question. Except mine is for a trip to the Carribean in September (just had to get that in).
I've taken DiverDave's advice and have gone the DAN route (£43 for the basic annual cover - http://www.daneurope.org/ but that doesn't cover the actual equipment (unless it is left at the site of an emergency) or any other sort of accident. As I've just managed to severly sprain my ankle falling off of a 2" curb (stone cold sober!), I think I need all the accidental coverage I can get:D. What I also need is cover for the gear! Most of the insurance companies will do personal baggage with valuables up to £250! Not going to be able to replace much with that :) and I don't have a home contents policy.
So any idea guys?

Well I signed myself and Bud. up to DAN thanks to your recommendation... its worth it not least for the insurance - thanks for the pointer about equipment cover - I will watch this space!..

We have DAN insurance. My boyfriend was in a diving accident and was taken to the emergency room. We have never seen a bill. This was in Palau.

BLT,
I'll take a better look into DEPP to make sure I'm covered here in the UK. (By the looks of it I am.)

Thanks again.
