Twenty people left their wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and prostheses on the side of A.D. Barnes Park Pool on Saturday, Oct. 19, when they entered the water to scuba-dive for the first time, assisted by specially trained and certified Diveheart instructors and buddies. Diveheart, a nonprofit organization, aims to provide and support educational scuba-diving and snorkeling programs that are open to any child, adult or veteran with a disability in an effort to provide both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person. The Diveheart Scuba Experience was underwritten by Ortho Pro Associates
