IIRC - If I Recall Correctly...
IITC - If I could type correctly...that doesn't work either...

The sunshine market is an easy walk. It is the first building on the north side of the street (Kaya Industria) that runs into the Casino driveway entrance. If you look at google maps, do not be fooled by those "small buildings" closer to the Casino - they are shipping containers, the universal storage shed of the Caribbean. We have used sunshine for years. It is closer to our oceanfront room than our gear at the end of the dive dock (well almost).

It is small and fairly limited with basically almost no fresh produce. All we grab is stuff for simple lunches:
- a few buns (limited choices, well 2, sometimes only 1, but a fresh supply every few days)
- a package of cold cuts (generally they have at least 2 offerings)
- a package of presliced deli cheese (often only 1 choice)
- cookies (lots of choices!)
- a small jar of mayo
- a jar of stuffed olives
- some cans of tuna
- some powdered drink mixes
- a couple of bottles of gatorade and juice
- a couple apples (if they have any, if not, come back tomorrow)
- some canned mystery meat (Spam clone!)
- more cookies

They also have a complete selection of canned goods if you wanted to set up house and eat from a can. Full selection of herbs and spices. Not much junk food. They have a very well stocked hardware department, a small cosmetics offering and several freezers full of frozen things.

It is family run and half the fun is trolling up and down the aisles wondering why (if?) anyone would ever buy some of the stuff. IIRC, on our last trip they had a huge stack of prefab pizza delivery boxes on offer. And several rubber boots.

It also has a totally adequate supply of chilled carbonated adult beverages. burp...

Aug. 14 | Divi Flamingo Beach Resort in Bonaire To Undergo Multi-million Dollar Renovation

Divi Resorts announced that it would undertake a top-to-bottom refresh of its Bonaire property, Divi Flamingo Beach Resort. Renovations on the 129-room resort begin in September, with completion scheduled for June 2015. The upgrade covers rooms, grounds, lobby, pools, beach, restaurants and bars, back of house, exterior décor, dive facilities and retail. It is the largest hospitality capital investment on Bonaire in recent years. According to Marco Galaverna, president and chief operating officer of Divi Resorts, the renovation will make Divi the undisputed leader in guest services and amenities and the freshest, most stylish product on the island. The modernization of Divi Dive, the in-house dive operation, along with the hotel's makeover will be a boon to the resort's robust dive business; but also is expected to create a new mecca for Caribbean-bound vacationers from around the world.
Ah - so they are painting?

That seashell pink was starting to look dated.
