For the record Dennis, ciguatera is a toxin produced by an algae. This algae is consumed by reef fishes and accumulates in their system. Predator fish that eat these fish accumulate it in higher doses. You're right about the snappers, groupers etc but it's not a bacteria. Hank
Nope dont eat'em to many bones. Ive had it before and its good if cooked right so more or less I just shoot it to say look what I shot and survived getting it in. Theyre a risky little booger. Their teeth stick out even when their mouth is shut and they go crazy floppin and swimmin when they have been shot.Also their scales can embed themselves in you if you grab and they go to movin a bunch.
