Saw an interesting article about dolphins using sponges to protect their snouts while searching for food along the bottom. Interesting.

If dolphins can be socially trained, when is PADI going to offer a course to teach them to stop disturbing the sponge and will PETA train them to be vegetarian?

Sponges are underprivileged animals being exploited by rich and powerful dolphins. :wink:
 
This was seen in the female dolphins plus one male?? (he might be gay). This really made since because the female should be the one making dinner. :D
 
No one ever said they were dumb creatures. They have to stick with what works.

It's not the divsion of domestic duties as much as it is that male dolphins don't consider sponge use to be appropriately macho and there for avoid sponge use so as to avoid being called wimps by other macho male dolphins.
