the diver, Judi Bedard, is at Shands Gainesville, in critical condition.
she's had three cardiac arrests since yesterday.

here's the story from the St. Pete's Time

I hope she makes it!

Same here. My prayers are with her.

Double pneumothorax -AGE, MRI looks good as does CAT. Was recompressed on arrival at Shands (6a sched). She was brought to the surface with no heart beat and resuscitated on the dock, She coded twice at Shands the first night the first on departure from the chamber and the second on arrival in ICU (ICU was non-AED resucitation). She has been stable but very critical since then. The Docs are going to start letting her out of the medical coma & paralasis and see what happens. Had she not been in great shape due principaly to the large number of dives every week, she probably would never have restarted the first time.
If you pray this would be a good time to practice, another angel or two on her side wouldn't hurt.

Prayer lamp lit bright & steady.

That's tragic, and I hope she makes it. Hernando County is just one county south of where I lived when I graduated high school. Having grown up in that area, my dad used to be a scuba instructor for FSDA (Florida Skin Diving Association). During the 70's he went around to many of the caves and placed the initial warning signs in the mouths of them. The state has since replaced those signs with the new ones currently in use. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Bedard.

no, no news in Williston or Gainesville

maybe WFTL will come back and let us know more
