Don't forget Troy Springs (State Park) and Royal (free county park).

If you haven't bought Ned Deloach's Underwater Guide to Florida that needs to be your next purchase, great book!

And I dun went and furgetted em. Thanks for adding to the list.

There's not a lot around Fernandina, there used to be a charter boat up there, but everyone I ever talked to that went on it said it sucked.

ah... yeah... it was run by a somewhat older couple who did evertying REALLY
SLOWLY... including getting out to the site and getting back...

also, if it looked like it might rain, they'd cancel b/c of weather (well, i'm exagerating,
but i NEVER got to go with them... they cancelled on me EVERY SINGLE TIME
that season)

well... bitterness aside...

there's two places out of Jax you can go. they're both expensive (in the $90 to $100
range for a two-tank dive).

Atlantic Pro Divers is diver-oriented. they go to the same old sites all the time.

ScubaJax is spear-fishing-oriented; they go all over the place, but get back
really late.

either crew has good safety and i have gone diving with both
