As said= I am not sure if it would actually sink as long as the toons stay intact but with gear on deck, a deck wash means great dive gear to be had all over the site,PB's IMO are strictly inland lake boats.
dive safe

so let me ask this does anyone use a pontoon on the great lakes, or are they a taboo?

Actually, there are a lot of days that either craft would be ok on Lake Michigan. You will have to be very selective in which days are appropriate.

Just gotta ask your self one question.......:rofl3:

And that question would be do I know enough about weather systems, forecasts, and reports to make that decision or should I stay home and watch Eastwood.

There are days the winds are calm and waves are less than a foot on the Great Lakes.
