Does any know what is FIX UWL-04 M52 dome lens made from? Glass, acrylic, polycarbonates or coated plastics?
I just bump my UWL-04 into a coral recently, now it's leaving a small triangle scratches on the dome.
Someone in the forum has mention by using "Micro Mesh NC-78-1 Acrylic Restore Kits" can repair/remove those scratches.
Does anyone have this experience on the FIX UWL lens?
I scared if this will remove the dome chromatic coating as well, once I used polish or sand out method.

We have never had any luck polishing these domes. Polishing a dome properly is a very time consuming and difficult process. The small nature of this dome makes it even more difficult to do properly.

These domes can be replaced. Your Fisheye dealer can send it to them for you. The typical cost for replacement is around $190, and it takes 6-8 weeks. Please contact us if you'd like more information.

My UWL-04 dome accumulated enough scratches to warrant replacement or repair. This repair kit currently runs around $60 with shipping and took me about 4 hrs. to complete. I had never attempted anything like this before and was pleased with the final result. Look for the youtube vid as well. It takes some patience and I agree that it would be easier to do with a larger dome. Photos of the process are posted at:
