My wife has been diagnosed as having fluid in her concha. (Sorry, I don't know which concha.) She has had sinus issues for a few years and often has trouble clearing her ears but it's never been bad enough to abort a dive. The fluid issue was just diagnosed recently, along with allergies to various pollens and grasses. She has started taking shots for the allergies, which may also resolve the fluid issue.

So we're planning on a long diving vacation in about a month and we're not sure what affect this fluid will have. If she's had the fluid for years, then we're not concerned. But if it's something new, what affect will it have on clearing her ears?

Thanks for your help.
