I'm NOT a techie but I'm looking for a backup computer at this point. I may decide to buy a wing and get more into the tech thing down the road.

Is this computer appropriate as a backup to my Wisdom II or should I be looking for something else?

It would make a fine backup computer that you could eventually use for technical diving if you go in that direction.
