Force-E continues to expand across SE FL.

COMING SOON to Fort Lauderdale...Force-E Scuba's first Training Facility

Force-E Scuba Centers will be assuming control of Pineapple Scuba effective Monday, April 24th. The location at 2935 N. Federal Hwy (along with the pool) will now serve as a training facility for all our customers. The retail store will now be located across the street at Force-E Fort Lauderdale and the former retail space will become a teaching, training, showcase and demonstration hub - where all customers will be able to try out all the equipment we offer.

Colin Lee is pleased to announce that he will be joining the Force-E Team, along with some other staff, and will continue to teach scuba. We are excited to have them come onboard and look forward to servicing the Fort Lauderdale and surrounding areas.

I'm not familiar with Pineapple Scuba in Ft Lauderdale. Actually don't recall ever hearing the name. Is anyone familiar with that dive shop/operation?

Nice waterfront location for a dive boat. (understanding the limitations)

All I know about pineapples and scuba: Spongebob.

Their ow classes use to swarm my best so-called 'secret' shore dive spot and use up what little parking there was.
I recall them offering very cheap ow classes for the area.

The 26th st bridge might be a deal killer for a boat...not sure though.

Yes, small dive operation focused mainly on OW training. They are located on US 1 in Fort Lauderdale and conduct classes out of what I believe used to be a motel pool, plus nearby boats. They had a really good reputation for OW instruction and were always highly recommended by their former students. Sad to see this independent shop go, but Force-e has a good reputation and my understanding is that the Pineapple team will be staying on board.

The consolidation of the SE FL dive industry is very interesting. Force E bought out Boynton Beach Dive Center and then opened their new big store in Boynton Beach. Now they buy Pineapple Scuba in Ft Lauderdale

I have no dependence on the shops, I guess we will all see how this plays out.

I'm the same way. I generally don't care and, if the new owners are good (which Force-e are), that's probably not a bad thing. However, having less variety probably isn't a good thing. Nonetheless, the area is flooded with dive shops, so I'm not terribly concerned.

Quality vs. quanity is the issue, both in training and sales

They also opened a Ft Lauderdale location before buying Pineapple Scuba.
