But Pineapple's facilities were & still are owned by the motel.

It might be have been a facility lease to Pineapple, who then sold the lease remainder to ForceE. It's still a great addition to Force E with a training facility so close to their retail location. And that very valuable waterfront location.
 
They also opened a Ft Lauderdale location before buying Pineapple Scuba.
The Ft Lauderdale store is directly across the street from where Pineapple scuba was
 
The consolidation of the SE FL dive industry is very interesting. Force E bought out Boynton Beach Dive Center and then opened their new big store in Boynton Beach. Now they buy Pineapple Scuba in Ft Lauderdale

I have no dependence on the shops, I guess we will all see how this plays out.
The problem with one company buying everyone up is there will be nobody to keep prices in check. Competition is a good thing. If there’s only one big company, you will see the price for classes go up as well as air fills.
