Just one personal example.
One my friend goes with his daughter (around 15 y.o.) in to the pool for scuba dive. max depth of this pool is 6m.
We have dive around 50min - 1 hr.
After that, we start to diassemble SCUBAs on the poolside, and did not noticed, as his daughter goes to pool again just for swimming. And she makes one-two dives just with mask and fins.
looks like nothing, but....
She got huge problems with inner ear.
One of ours barophisiologist suspects, that it was small air bubble, somewhere near the cochlea.
She lost of sence for one ear, and had some pain too.
After some drugs and some passed barocameras she`s returned hearing for this ear, but not at same level as before...
She had not dives before this case for month or more...

this example before my eyes was enough for me to remember as Ten Commandments:
