I am looking at getting a genesis manifold for my 7" faber tanks. My question is whether there is any difference in a manifold for 7" tanks and 8" tanks specifically a genesis manifold?

Nope none at all, the bands are different tho. Just curious, why Genesis?

Well that's a good reason. But no the manifold doesn't change anything, the bands change.

Almost all manifolds now are about 8.5" center to center and are adjustable by a few tenths each way. Older manifolds were a little closer, usually 8.25" center to center. There are a few special manifolds for skinny tanks too but usually the 8.5" center to center manifolds are used for both 8" and 7.25" tanks.

Just make sure the genesis is for 3/4" tank threads. They also made 7/8" threaded valves for HP tanks. Those have angled outlets too and that leads to some atypical hose routing.
