[This is from LAUE, the presentation will also include the video taken of the German U boat found in August off Long Beach, for a report see UB 88 Dive Report ]

Kendall Raine will deliver a multimedia presentation on several recent
technical diving expeditions this month.

Reef Seekers in Beverly Hills has generously agreed to host the event,
at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Kendall will discuss his recent trips to the USS Wilkes Barre in
Florida and the caves of Akumal, Mexico, as well as dives to local
deeper wrecks such as the Triple Crown. He will also talk about
monitoring deco status in the field using doppler technology and the
application of tech diving gear and protocols in general.

Kendall will discuss his visit to the Wilkes Barre this summer with
John Walker, Scott Brooks and Fred Colburn. The wreck, a 610' Cleveland
class light cruiser sunk in 1972 as a artificial reef, lies 250 feet
down off the coast of Florida. The location of the Barre was lost after
her sinking and rediscovered by Billy Deans about fifteen years ago.
The magnificent wreck has been attracting divers from all over the
world ever since. The presentation will be illustrated by some amazing
video and still photography shot by John and Scott, respectively.

During the Akumal portion of the presentation, Kendall will provide an
account of his trip with John in August that culminated in an extensive
push through one of the deeper cave systems in the Yucatan. Once again,
the discussion will be accompanied by John's video footage.

Kendall will be available for a question-and-answer session on these
trips and tech diving in general, if time permits after the
presentation.
