After spending half the year so far in Phoenix, Merry and I were going diving today even if the water was dirty. Fortunately it was not. We had twenty feet visibility and a smooth surface at Halfway Reef. None of our gear leaked and we even had fun, something we haven't had a lot of lately.

The water has finally cooled off and life looks to be returning to the reef. We enjoyed the 52° temperatures. It finally felt normal to dive around Palos Verdes. It has been unseasonably warm for the past few months. It was Laguna Beach warm.

That last nudibranch is amazing! I've never seen one like that before. I saw one once that looked like black velvet with little 24 carat gold spots. Ever see one like that? I love the worms too :) Some of my best photos where taken in five foot visibility so I never let the murk stop me.
