:icon82: Aloha SCUBABOARDERS,

I'm getting ready to fly up to Las Vegas for this years DEMA extravaganza. I'm wondering who else will be going there from the 50th state. Maybe we could put together a list from each island and then come up with a master list of attendees from all the islands. I think it would be great to meet other SCUBABOARD members at the show. HIRSA (Hawaiian Islands Recreational SCUBA Association) is going to have a booth there, (although I have no idea if anyone from HIRSA is involved with SCUBABOARD). Maybe we could all consider their booth as a central meeting spot or something. I'm completely open to ideas and would welcome the chance to "talk story" with other Hawaii Dive People. I'll be staying at the Stardust from Monday to Friday but spending as much time as possible at the show and doing the seminars. Let's see how many we can get to meet up and be "HI at DEMA!"

Id love to go but have other plans.

There will be some folks from Jack's Diving Locker there. Typically someone from Kona Coast Divers is there. Seems like last year someone from Scuba Shack (Maui) was there and maybe Lahaina Divers. I know I am forgetting a few, though.

Well I'm not from Hawaii, yet, but I'm going to be there at DEMA with Jill. We're staying at a hole called Circus Circus with some others from Maui who are going to DEMA. I'm sure you'll recognize them Doug.

Look forward to seeing you again.

Aloha Al,

Maybe we can get together for a cold one! I'll look for you there. Anyone else from Hawaii??????

I can see the convention center from the window of our room but I fear that showgirls will capture me and force to become their slave where I'll be forced to do their bidding.

I can only imagine the disgusting things they'll demand of me, again and again.

I'll hit that booth tomorrow Doug. Hope to see you there. I see the MDS has it's own booth as does Lahaina Divers. We had lunch with Brad and Blesi and plan to have dinner with them this evening at the Circus buffet.

Then I'm having a nap with my bed. Long day. I carried away about 50 pounds worth of stuff I just can't live without.

Hi Al,

Sorry I missed you there...didn't see Brad or Blesi either. I did get to sit next to Steve H. from Makena Coast Charters on the plane from Maui but only saw him once during the show. There was quite a large turnout and the show was a lot like the casinos....navigation was kind of confusing once you got into the middle of it.

Now I'm stuck at the arport with a delayed flight. Glad to hear they have FREE INTERNET here! I can finally catch up on some stuff.

I ran into several "Mauians" and some other old and new friends throughout the show and I had a really good time being there. When will DEMA be in Las Vegas again? I would say it's a "must do". It was a lot of fun and now I have a ton of new stickers for the SCUBABUS!

BTW how did you make out with the Showgirls?? Inquiring minds want to know!

I hope you enjoy your trip back home...see you again in Maui one of these days!

So you're at the airport at 7pm and here it is about 8:30 and I'm stuck here too. Brad and Blesi were around. I went by the booth you were at a couple of times but never saw you there. Brad and Blesi helped Jill and I get deep into a pitcher of Margaritas.
