A good friend told me about this experimental artificial reef that he was a volunteer diver . This place had fifty halibut in the size of half a football field .
It was right outside of the jetty at Newport Beach . There were tires chained together on the bottom and interesting eight inch diameter pvc pipe twenty feet long growing muscles floating on chains . A lot of small bait fish which attracted all those halibut . Needless to say we all took our limits . Soon after it was dismantled for
