I think the silhouette is for a single diver...the camera is for a photographer, etc., etc.

One question, why do so many people have those silhouette's in their handle? I've never seen that before and it's quite common on here.

Run your cursor over one of the silhouette's and you'll see some information. That comes from data you provided in your profile - if you don't tell, we won't, either. There are a number of other figures that denote membership in any of a number of groups.

Yep, just saw one for a member who is not a SF member, but did state gender. This does prevent confusion in some discussions; glad to see it!
