Howdy Divers, this makes my first post on the board. Been browsing and have a feeling I'll probably spend lots of my time on here!

Alas, I need help identifying this first stage. I believe it is an Aqualung Titan of some sort, but I can't find info on definitive model or generation. I got it used for a whopping $50...

Planning to use this on a pony bottle as my alt air source. Although, after taking the dust cap off, I had some concerns about the condition of that filter. There looks to be corrosion and I have no idea if this is an issue or not, would anyone recommend I get this serviced before use or does it look pretty average for the amount of use its seen? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

That is a Titan balanced diaphragm first stage. A well regarded evolution of the Conshelf and it has a replaceable orifice. The one you have is not sealed and IMO that is not of consequence here. The condition is hard to determine from those photos but I would say that piece can be serviced easily and returned to service. All of the parts are available as they are the same basic innards in the Core/Helix/Legend and Conshelf for that matter. The sintered filters looks grody and I imagine it has had some seawater through it. Again, my bet, a competent tech can easily set it right again.

And welcome to scubaboard where hairs can be split infinitely and people who agree can find something to not agree on. All in fun, enjoy :).

Thank you! I'll bring this one to a professional for now. It looks like a service kit can be easily found online as well.

Gotta love these forums. The wealth of knowledge always amazes me!
