Help identify a fish?

Sorry, I didn't take my camera on this night dive but we saw a silver fish with whiskers (like a catfish) and was wondering if anyone knows what it is?

After a little more research, it seems like it actually was a catfish.. I didn't know catfish were able to live in salt water as well

the sail cats (gafftopsail) are supposed to be edible, if not tasty, but a slimier fish I have never seen! You think I'm kidding, but pull one out of the water and watch your net, fishing gear, boat, truck, house fill with wave after wave of fish goo and you'll know I'm telling the truth.

I've seen thousands of hardheads on a bridge span.. not a good sign.

Got pictures of a Gafftopsail catfish 3 weeks ago under a ledge.

I've caught a lot of Gaffs as a kid (and they are good eating) and can testify to the slime

It was definitely a Gafftopsail, first time I've seen one at Ft.Pickens... He was a friendly little fella.

Did see a dead one on the bottom at Pickens one time, but never one up and about.
