Anyway, nice to be here.

Hello Voyager, welcome to the boards, you lucky dog! I tried all weekend to get the boats to leave the harbor. The weather has been nasty for a week now. In fact it's still drizzling a little here in San Diego... and it's killing me! I just picked up two Interspiro Divator II Full Face Masks with full Communications Gear and I haven't been able to get them in the water yet!

Well, the weather here is pretty bad too and it was drizzling off and on last weekend. But we were practicing some rescues and our instructor wanted us to go in anyway. So we spent the entire weekend cold and miserable(5ft visibility , Zero visibility after 60-70) and having a lot of fun :).
BTW Are the full face masks and gear for technical diving??

Voyager, not at all, FFM's and Communication gear can be used by anyone. Just click on the link that says Articles By Mario, right under my name and it'll take you to the Scubasource front page. Read the article that says "First Time using Underwater Communication" for a first hand acount. I also have a video, if you are interested.

One other thread to read is the one called An Avoidable Tragedy

We dive Lake Travis pretty often and will be hitting Athen's Scuba Park this summer. We were in Athen's a couple weeks ago and the 46 degree water and 20mph breeze made me remember why I prefer warm water!

So anytime you feel like diving Lake Travis, Athen's or Blue Lagoon, let me know and we'll meet ya.

Mario,
Thanks for the reply. The article was very informative. Any idea on the price of the mask and gear??
Dee, I didn't know Athens was so cold. Anyway, we will be taking the OW students over there sometime next month. Are the OW students going to enjoy the weather or what? hihi!!Sorry for being such a sadist :)

Seems like things will never warm up here in Boston. After somewhat of a thaw earlier this week, it's snowing today and the Charles River is starting to re-freeze...spring can't come soon enough.

Welcome to the board!
