Thanks to all for input including that of the Manufacturer as its nice to see he takes a hands on interest in his product. As an added note,, it doesn't appear to be a diaphram vibration. I took the cover off, removed the diaphram, cupped my hand over the opening to close it off, exhaled, and the same sound, maybe something with the case like Aqua Andy says, or spring like CERICH. Comes from internal inside the exhaust ports. If it dives as well as it is touted to, and is quiet underwater where it counts like Aqua Andy says, I'll just try and spend more time underwater. Got this last week from DIVE RIGHT IN SCUBA. If I find it too annoying after first dive I am sure i can get a exchange, their reputation is top shelf. Might be good point for manufacturer to check now that it has come to light.
